Moving with ease from painting to sculpture, then to installation, and once again back to painting, Zerbini authentically reflects the anxiety of the contemporary painter. With his rich and luminous palette, the artist produces images that range from landscapes, cityscapes, and domestic scenes to those with a more obscure or even abstract meaning. Zerbini juxtaposes styles and techniques, organic and geometric patterns, fields of light and shadow, producing optical effects that beckon for contemplation.
