Muniz resorts to the most improbable materials to realize his ideas. Chocolate, food, scraps, diamonds, hair gel, toys, pigment and dust assume varied and surprising forms that are then photographed and enlarged. In a constant revision of the History of Art, Muniz adopts as imagery references works by important artists down through the centuries, from Albert Dürer and Claude Monet to Gerhard Richter and Andy Warhol, to name a few.
