Em exposição que inaugura hoje na Hayward Gallary em Londres, o artista carioca Ernesto Neto, convida os visitantes a explorar uma seqüência de espaços interligados que mesclam escultura e arquitetura. Além das instalações que evocam o interior do corpo humano, Neto apresenta também esculturas no espaço aberto da galeria, como por exemplo, uma piscina a disposição dos visitantes.

[In exhibition at Hayward Gallary the artist Ernesto Neto invites the visitors to explore a sequence of interlinked spaces that merge sculpture and architecture. The site-specific installations evocative of skin and interior body systems, Neto also presents outdoor installations on the gallery’s sculpture courts, for example, a swimming pool that visitors can use].

Em exposição na Fundação Cauloste Gulbekian em Lisboa, o artista carioca Barrão apresenta peças reconstruídas a partir de louças portuguesas. São canecas, xícaras, vasos, objetos cotidianos recombinados de formas inusitadas. O trabalho do artista, que também faz parte do grupo Chelpa Ferro, propõe um jogo sutil entre o acidental e o fabricado.

[Barrão is on view at Cauloste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisboa. Pieces recreated from Portuguese porcelain and combined to everyday objects such as mugs, cups and jars in surprising shapes. The artist is also part of Chelpa Ferro collective and his work suggests a subtle connection between the contingent and manufactured.]
